HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAT!
02/01/2012! What a day, huh? Twenty two years ago, Patrick John Kirch, Pat Kirch, Rat Boy, Cupcake Lover… or whatever we can call you was born. After five years of The Maine you showed us that you are the most special guy in the world and the most lovely of the band! Pat, our baby, you are 22 today! How could this happen? The most amazing thing is that some of us are so much younger than you but we still feel that you’re our little child that needs a lot of protection! We mean, we know that you are not a baby anymore but you are so cute that we just can’t accept that you are a grown up! Although we are just cupcake lovers, we would like to say Happy Birthday to you, Pat. We wish you the best anniversary ever, and we wish with all our hearts that this day repeat a lot through the years. And we also wish we could say that personally and give you a physical gift, but we are happy to have the chance to see you again here in Brazil in July. Even though it’s YOUR birthday, we feel gifted because you are part of one of the best things in our lives: The Maine. You guys changed our lives - in a good way. It’s so cool the way you can put your fans in your songs because we can say for sure that all of us can see ourselves in your music! And, YES, the music you do it’s just brilliant! You will be well rewarded with many victories.We can’t put on words how much we love you. Yeah, kinda strange because we just saw you live once, but we think this kind of feeling cannot be explained. It is only the beginning of your life because you’re still young and still have many things to go through. Pat, feel embraced! This is a tribute of how much we love you! You will never be forgotten. How can we show you how much we love you and how much you mean to us? Today is your day and all of the attention should be for you! We want you to have the most amazing day of your life because you deserve it more than anybody! You are so precious that it’s hard to find words to make you understand how loved YOU are! It’s so hard to describe you: you are an amazing man but you’re still our little baby, we think you are the nicest man in the world but you keep saying your not that nice… well, what can we say? You are a perfect imperfect human being! Just the most amazing paradox. Why can’t you be here with us so we could give you a big hug? Thanks for being this amazing man that you are right now. Thanks for making us laugh. Thanks for just being YOU and never be ashamed of who you are. That’s something we learned from you, and we thank you a lot for it. You have no idea how bad we wanted to give you a cupcake today but… We’re sorry it’s just impossible send you a couple of them from Brazil. But we promise that we will give you some cupcakes in July! Can’t wait for being part of the record of your first DVD! We love you so much: love the way you are, love the way you play, love the way you whip your hair… Actually, we love your hair and you should be carefull because we all want to steal it from you! We may not be the most perfect fans of yours but be sure that this “Happy Birthday” is from our hearts. Pat, we want to ask you one thing: never forget to follow your heart, do not let the fame blow your mind and continue being our cupcake lover. Happy birthday, Pat!
